How does it all work?
You may be entitled to property upgrades through one of the government and energy funding schemes.
Firstly, you need to understand if you and your property would qualify for the upgrades, and secondly, you need to apply through Lumos Renewables to get your property surveyed, of which the outcome would determine to what extent you would get for FREE.
It is really for FREE?
YES, it is. Lumos Renewables, unlike other companies, don’t ask you for any contribution to upgrade your property.
Our role in the process is to make you aware of what you are entitled to for FREE.
What would I be entitled to?
There are various measures that are available – Renewables (Solar / battery storage / EV charging), Insulation (Cavity, loft, EWI, IWI, loft etc.) and Heating Controls (Boiler replacement, programmer, fan, thermostat controls etc.)
You need to apply through Lumos Renewables to find out what you and your property would qualify for.
What do I need to do and what is the process?
You would be expected to do very little.
The whole process is very simple and non-exhaustive.
Fill out our application form and a member of our team will be in touch to discuss our first stage data capture and check. After that, we will arrange a survey at your premise to understand what your property energy rating is, and what it could reach with upgrades and improvements.
Lumos review the outcome and make you aware of what you qualify for, for FREE. We then arrange the installation of the measures, and you benefit.
How long does the process take?
The whole process can take anything from 2 – 4 weeks, all dependant on your availability for the survey and works to take place.
Application:
- Apply online through our website application form, completing all details and submit. lumosrenewables.com/residential-funding/
- Apply by telephone on 0141 647 1187 (office hours) and our team will go through the application process
- Send an email to our back-office team – applications@lumosrenewables.com and someone will be in contact to go through the application
Data check: Lumos will apply for a data check to confirm your living status at the property and get confirmation of benefit / government support (if applicable)
Data check returned: Data check will be returned to Lumos, of which Lumos will then be in contact to arrange an energy assessment / survey at your property.
Survey: The survey will take place, lasting no more than 2 hours
Survey completed: Lumos will input your energy details to the mainframe and your property will be scored based on its energy rating
Outcome: Lumos will contact and consult with you on the rating, going through what has been identified as FREE measures on your property.
Installation: Lumos will arrange for installation of the FREE measures at the property
Handover: Lumos will complete and submit all relevant commissioning paperwork to the authorities for job closure
